Dr. med. Michael Kleiser

Dr. med. Michael Kleiser was born in 1965 in Kaiserslautern, Germany. He studied medicine at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. He received his doctor’s degree at the Institute for Cardiovascular Physiology for his fundamental research on blood pressure regulation. Dr. Kleiser is a specialist in the field of physical and rehabilitative medicine and acupuncture.

Beginning in 1998 during his university years, Dr. Kleiser spent two years at the Training Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Offenbach (AGTCM) where he attained his basic training in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

He has been a member of the German Medical Society for Acupuncture (DÄGfA) since 1998 and regularly attends the society’s seminars.

Since 2009 he has been a member of the German Society for Traditional Chinese Medicine (DGTCM) e.V. as well as a member of the Heidelberg School of Chinese Medicine. He is fully trained in TCM, Tuina, herbal therapy, food therapy, and Qigong.

He takes part in Qigong workshops with Dr. Roy Jenzen (http://www.internalintent.com/) regularly since 2009. Dr Kleiser is also in training for Neigong (silent and inner Qigong) and the classic methods of “five animals”, “eight pieces of silk”, “washing of the marrow”, “Bagua”, and more.

Since 2012, Dr. Kleiser is a member of the Association for Traditional Studies (http://www.traditionalstudies.org/) in Ashville, USA. From 2012 to 2015 he has also visited seminars by Andrew Nugent-Head, where he studied special acupuncture, acupressure and Qigong techniques.

As of 2015, Dr. Kleiser has been visiting seminars by Arnaud Versluys (http://arnaudversluys.com/) on herbal therapy in Chinese Medicine according to Shanghan Lun.

Since 2016 Dr. Michael Kleiser has been part of Andrew Nugent-Head’s training team and assists in training programs on Traditional Chinese Medicine in Zurich, Switzerland.

He has applied his knowledge about Traditional Chinese Medicine during his studies and his following working years as assistant physician in various acute care clinics. From 2005 until 2011 he worked at the Enzensberg Clinic in the acute rehabilitation of neurological patients. He received his specialists’ title for physiological and rehabilitative medicine in 2009 and was employed as chief resident physician until recently. During the course of this employment, Dr. Kleiser has treated patients, relatives, and employees with the methods of conventional and Chinese Medicine.

From April 2011 to March 2016 he was managing director of the Center for Chinese Medicine at Universitätsallee 3 in Bremen, Germany. Since April 2016, Dr. Kleiser and his wife Isabell Kleiser are heads of the Practice for Chinese Medicine, Gerold-Janssen-Straße 2a, in Bremen, Germany.

Dr. Kleiser first encountered Chinese Medicine when he was travelling through Asia after high school. He visited monasteries and was schooled in different contemplation and meditation techniques. After his travels, he continued to study Buddhist meditation and Japanese martial arts. He received his first Dan in Aikido in 1991 from Master Asai. Between 1995 and 2002, he was director of the Buddhism Meditation Center in Frankfurt, Germany. Dr. Kleiser regularly visits meditation seminars in the USA.

Isabell Kleiser

Isabell Kleiser was born in 1964 in Herzberg, Germany. She studied linguistic sciences at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, and worked for a large international bank.

Since 1992 she has been studying different methods of healing such as Jin Shin Jyutsu, foot reflexology, Gentle Joint and Vertebrae Therapy as taught by Dorn, back massage according to Breuß, kinesiology, Biofeldtherapy, and various massage techniques.

She was a student of the Thalamus Natural Health Practitioner School in Frankfurt, Germany, from 1999 to 2002, where she received a degree as nationally certified alternative practitioner (Heilpraktiker). From 2002 to 2011 she was director of an alternative health practitioner clinic in southern Germany. She regularly participated in quality control programs and workshops and was also a teacher at the community college in Kempten in the south of Germany.

Isabell Kleiser has been a student of Qigong Master Dr. Roy Jenzen since 2009 and visits his courses all over the world. She was employed at the Practice for Chinese Medicine in Bremen, Germany from 2011 to 2016.

In 2011 she began her acupuncture training at the German Society for Traditional Chinese Medicine (DGTCM).

She received her diploma as nutritionist according to Chinese Medicine after studying with Barbara Temelie in Hamburg, Germany, in 2013 and 2014.

She joined the Association for Traditional Studies (ATS) in Ashville, USA, in 2016. As a student of Andrew Nugent-Head she is trained in special TCM acupuncture, acupressure and Qigong techniques.

Isabell Kleiser has been working with her husband at the Practice for Chinese Medicine in Bremen, Germany, since its opening in April 2016. She is a therapist for acupuncture, Qigong, manual therapy, and a nutrition consultant.

In 1990, Isabell Kleiser began with regular daily meditations. She was actively involved at the Buddhism Mediation Center in Frankfurt, Germany, from 1990 to 2002 as well as at the Retreat Center Schwarzenberg from 2002 to 2011. Instruction of meditation for visitors, lectures, courses and seminars with Masters from all over the world were part of her activities.

In March 2007, her son Jens Ole Kleiser was born.
